• Protect Virginia Schools
It is more important than ever to call on the federal government to fulfill promises made long ago to fully fund Title I and IDEA. It is equally important to call on our state legislators to provide adequate and equitable state funding. By having Senators, Members of Congress, and school boards across the country pass resolutions supporting these efforts, we can galvanize this moment to shed light on the critical funding needs in our public schools. To take further action, i.e. call or email your legislation please use this link from Alliance to Reclaim our Schools: https://reclaimourschools.org/take-action

  • No Public Funds For Private Education
95% of children in Arkansas attend public schools. The siphoning of funds towards private and home schools for a small percentage of students will cause irreparable harm to public schools. Public taxpayer money belongs in public schools.  The primary stated goal was to help low income students, regardless of zip code, to attend private schools. This has not happened.  Public schools provide a wide array of activities and services for all students. When funding is reduced, public schools are forced to cut programs and staff. Small rural schools are especially vulnerable. Art, music, foreign languages, and other important elective classes are usually the first to be cut. These are some of the very programs that students need to build self esteem and to stimulate interest and brain growth.

  • Keep Public Funds in Public Schools
This federal private school voucher tax credit is just the latest attempt to splinter our community and erode the democratic foundation of public schooling. Este crédito fiscal federal para cupones escolares privados es solo el último intento de dividir a nuestra comunidad y erosionar la base democrática de la educación pública.

  • No banned books in North Little Rock
While nominally honoring diversity, the district is alienating families with LGBTQ+ children or family members.    These books are not required reading, but can be selected.  Those who do not approve do not have to read them.   Banning books violates first amendment rights.

  • Keep ICE out of Franklin Park School District 84
We are proud parents of students enrolled in schools within Franklin Park School District 84. We are proud of the racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity that makes up our school community and the village of Franklin Park. On August 15th, Governor Pritzker signed the Safe Schools for All bill (HB 3247) into law. Creating a SAFE ZONE policy is one way to make sure our community is in compliance.  Built upon legal protections that are already in place, including FERPA and the U.S. Constitution, SAFE ZONE policies have been passed in school districts from Colorado to Kentucky because they provide clear limits on when and how ICE enters the school and how school staff will support families.  Sign this petition to urge leaders to pass a SAFE ZONE Policy to keep our students and community safe. We welcome signatures from residents from Franklin Park and throughout Illinois. 15 sierpnia gubernator Pritzker podpisał ustawę Safe Schools for All (HB 3247). Podpisz tę petycję, aby wezwać naszych liderów do przyjęcia polityki bezpieczeństwa  (SAFE ZONE)  i zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa naszym uczniom oraz całej społeczności. Przyjmujemy podpisy zarówno od mieszkańców Franklin Park, jak i z całego Illinois.

  • Stop the Federal Cuts to Public Education!
Congress is considering a proposal that includes over $7.3 billion in cuts to K-12 public schools, gutting programs for English Language Learners, afterschool programs, career & technical education, and teacher training—which then reduces programs for all students. These are cuts our students cannot afford. We call on our federal legislators to take immediate and proactive steps to safeguard the rights, safety, and educational opportunities of all students, by supporting legislation that affirms and funds access to high-quality public education for every child in every state. Sign this petition to make it clear that we are the majority and we demand a fully funded and equitable public school system.  Congress can stand up for the majority of kids who attend public schools, and reject these cuts. Tell our members of Congress: DEFEND and INCREASE funding for public schools, don’t dismantle it through constant cuts and chaos. Add your name now and tell Congress: Stop the Federal Cuts to Public Education!

  • Urge the DPS Board to Demand Legislative Action Toward Fully & Fairly Funded Public Schools
For decades, TABOR (the so-called Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights) has restricted what the state can spend for schools. Now, federal funding and revenue changes pose additional threats to adequate, sustainable, and equitable school funding. If you agree that public education is the most important investment we can make in the future of our students, families, communities, economy, and democracy, then it's time to take action. Let's make sure the Colorado legislature takes concrete steps in 2026 to protect and promote public education. Join your fellow public school supporters as we call on our legislators to create and fund Colorado's Blueprint for Student Success — a multi-year plan to secure a vibrant public education system for decades to come. Sign this petition today to encourage the Denver Public Schools Board of Education to pass a resolution in support of fully, fairly funded public education and the Blueprint for Student Success. Together, we can Get It Done!

  • Save & Fund Public Schools
Trump has made clear his intentions to completely dismantle public education, during his campaign stating, "One other thing I'll be doing very early in the administration is closing up the Department of Education in Washington D.C., and sending all education and education work and needs back to the states.” The Department of Education plays an important role in protecting students from discrimination, advancing student achievement, granting financial aid, enhancing funding for nearly all public schools as state and local governments underfund public education, and working towards equity in education for all students, especially for low-income communities and students with disabilities. We need to increase federal funding for education—not completely gut the only federal institution committed to it.  And he won’t stop there. Project 2025 has an entire section focused on reshaping, or more accurately dismantling, our public education system and a plan to reroute public education funding to private education, through voucher programs. The plan not only includes eliminating the Department of Education but also getting rid of teachers unions and gutting any programs that support equity and inclusion, even free school lunch programs and Head Start.  Every student, no matter who they are or where they live, deserves to have a quality education. Urge Congress to affirm this value and protect education against attacks by the Trump administration
