As our elected officials, you have the opportunity to take a critcal leadership role in making sure Initiative 195 qualifies for the ballot and passes in November. The undersigned community members ask you to endorse Initiative 195 as soon as possible to send a message to the Greeley/Evans and Colorado community: a more fair tax system and fully funded public schools that meet the needs of every student are within Colorado's reach.  We just need the courage to choose that path.

It is more important than ever to call on the federal government to fulfill promises made long ago to fully fund Title I and IDEA. It is equally important to call on our state legislators to provide adequate and equitable state funding. By having Senators, Members of Congress, and school boards across the country pass resolutions supporting these efforts, we can galvanize this moment to shed light on the critical funding needs in our public schools. Joining our Public School Strong Kentucky team builds our strength, which lies in our numbers. In addition to defending against attacks on public education, we can support positive policy changes that are needed to achieve honest, equitable, and fully-funded public education.

This is taxation without representation. The superintendent and board are attempting to take a critical step for the district without consulting and informing stakeholders. 

The goal for leaders is to totally defund and dismantle public education.in full.  This can not happen. Authoritarians must be stopped. Billionaires must be stopped.
