Dismantling Education would Dismantle Personians
Statement of Concern: Protecting Public Education in Our County
Subject: Opposition to the privatization of local education and the diversion of public funds.
Summary of Key Points:
Preservation of Public Funding: We oppose the implementation of private school vouchers, which divert essential taxpayer dollars away from the public school system. This "siphoning" of funds threatens the stability of our local schools and the resources available to the majority of our children.
Opposition to Colocation: Sharing public school facilities with private or charter entities (colocation) creates unnecessary strain on shared resources, disrupts the learning environment, and undermines the autonomy of public institutions.
Safe and Professional Environments: We reject "teacher guardianship" programs. Educators should be focused on instruction; giving teachers custody for immigr tion or others issues raise significant liability risks.
Transparency and Accountability: Public education must remain under public oversight. We are concerned that private vouchers lack the rigorous financial transparency and anti-fraud protections required of public districts, potentially leading to the misuse of community funds.
Conclusion:
Our community views public education as a cornerstone of civic life. We urge our leaders to reject policies that treat children as commodities and instead prioritize robust, direct investment in our local public schools to ensure they remain strong, equitable, and accountable to the people.

Why is this important?
The goal for leaders is to totally defund and dismantle public education.in full.
This can not happen. Authoritarians must be stopped. Billionaires must be stopped.
