Honesty Teams Network - Equity & Access Working Group

Championing Equity and Access in Education with Honesty for Ohio Education Welcome to our community—a dedicated group of educators, parents, students, and advocates committed to advancing equity and access in education, in partnership with Honesty for Ohio Education. Our mission is to create a collaborative space where voices from diverse backgrounds come together to share experiences, challenges, and solutions to make education more inclusive and honest for all. What We Do: Engage in Honest Dialogue: Together with Honesty for Ohio Education partners, we are hosting listening sessions and discussions on critical topics like curriculum inclusivity, mental health support, culturally responsive teaching, and dismantling barriers to access (e.g., language, disability). Our focus is on promoting honest and transparent education that reflects the true histories and lived experiences of all students. Advocate for Change: Our group works alongside Honesty for Ohio Education partners to identify inequities within the education system and advocate for honest, accurate, and actionable solutions at the school, district, and community levels. Share Resources and Best Practices: We provide a platform to share strategies, resources, and tools that support equity-focused and honest education, empowering members to implement change in their own contexts. Support Each Other: As a community, we uplift and support one another, recognizing the unique perspectives and contributions each member brings, and stand united in our commitment to honest education. Why Join Us? Be Heard: Share your voice and experiences in a safe, inclusive environment where your insights are valued and respected. Learn and Grow: Gain access to workshops, expert talks, and resources that will deepen your understanding of equity, access, and the importance of honesty in education. Make a Difference: Collaborate on initiatives that drive positive change in schools and communities, creating a more just, inclusive, and honest educational system. Together with Honesty for Ohio Education, we are building a future where every student has the opportunity to thrive in an environment that values truth, equity, and access. Join us in our commitment to advancing honest education in Ohio!
