Public School Strong Ohio

Our Public School Strong Ohio + Honesty for Ohio Education Teams Network is made up of parents, students, educators, and community members who are committed to honest, equitable and fully funded public schools. Honesty for Ohio Education is the state anchor organization for Ohio within the #PublicSchoolStrong network. Honesty works with local teams of grassroots leaders across Ohio, more than 70 Ohio partner organizations, ally organizations in other states, and national partners. We support each other in turning out to local school board meetings to observe, make our Public School Strong movement visible, and speak up to promote, protect and strengthen our public education system. Anyone who is committed to those principles can join or start a team for your local district. Don't know how to start? That's what this community is here for—to support each other and capitalize on resources from our coalition partner organizations. In collaboration with #PublicSchoolStrong, Honesty Teams is grassroots organizing built to connect, train, and empower Ohio advocates for strong, inclusive schools to fight for their students, their community’s future, and against outside groups attempting to spread hate. Our goal is to connect with local grassroots teams already fighting and help individuals start and grow teams in districts that need one. Monthly Ohio Leadership Meetings are opportunities for local leaders from Ohio's 611 school districts to come together, share experiences from their local school districts, and strategize together on ongoing Teams campaigns—Religion in Schools, Vouchers, 2025 School Board Races—and meet on the last Wednesday of the month.
