OUR SCHOOLS..are…OUR SCHOOLS, let’s make them better for OUR CHILDREN!
Ours is a committed , collaborative team that values “boots on the ground” civic engagement. The best “team support” for local public K-12 education is still the families, community leaders, faith-based & community-based organizations that have long term, deeply rooted interests in success for OUR CHILDREN. We are not willing to Export our children or Import unnecessary outside resources. Our neighborhood public schools have demonstrated the ability to provide quality education and significant preparation for post-secondary education and/or meaningful employment.
Strengthen Families and Community Engagement and any deficiencies can be corrected with invading the rights of parents and local leaders.

Why is this important?
Education is more than desks and blackboards. Significant participation of churches, local businesses, local officials, successful alumni…all give children a meaningful point of reference to their potential for success.
Look at the community of District 2; schools with alumni in positions of leadership and success.
It’s COLLABORATION and SHARED EXPERIENCES that will strengthen the community to insist on quality public school education. DIVISION and INVASION of neighborhood public schools is not the answer.
