Teach-In at Meredith Mathews East Madison YMCA

Inspired by the theme "defending the freedom to learn," join us on Saturday, June 7, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to uplift the history of Seattle's 1966 student school boycott and freedom schools while making connections to the continued fight for liberatory education.

The Meredith Mathews East Madison YMCA is one of the sites of Seattle's 1966 Freedom Schools, so it will be powerful to bring folks together to celebrate how we are carrying on the legacy of teaching truth. This event is a part of the Zinn Education Project’s 5th Annual Teach Truth Days of Action.
