Teach-In and Exhibit Tour at Museum of Social Justice

University of California, Irvine (UCI) History Project, Central American Historical and Ancestral Society (CAHAAS), and the Museum of Social Justice are collaborating on a teach-in that focuses on their current exhibit, La Piedra Art Collective: That Stubborn Resistance, which is a celebration, rooted in the past, of the present contributions of Central Americans and Mexicans in the United States.

Come learn about the museums mission to telling the neglected stories of the diverse people of Los Angeles by showcasing the history of social movements from the perspective of marginalized groups and learn about the collective efforts of the UCI History Project and CAHAAS to uplift the narratives of Central Americans in Los Angeles and Southern California.

This event is part of the Zinn Education Project’s 5th Annual Teach Truth Day of Action.

The event hosts are both advisors to Teaching for Change's Teaching Central America project.
