Stand Up For Kids — Jeffco Community Coalition Rally

Join us for a peaceful rally Thursday, August 20, in solidarity with Jeffco Public Schools.

Organized by Jefferson County coalition partners Rocky Mountain Equality, Jeffco PTA, Wheat Ridge for Equity, and Engage Jeffco Schools in support of students, as well as for Jeffco Public Schools and LGBTQ++ Inclusive Student Policies.

The U.S. Department of Education’s threatened enforcement action—and the potential loss of up to $90 million in federal funding—places the district, its educators, and its students in an extraordinarily difficult position. We support the district’s decision to defend its inclusive policies, reject unsupported allegations concerning its compliance with Title IX, uphold Colorado’s strong protections against discrimination, and file a lawsuit seeking court guidance.
