KBIC January Debrief Meeting

The Coalition Debrief Meeting celebrates a major milestone: "We kept religion out of our schools and our students safe!" This gathering is an opportunity to reflect on the success of the coalition’s efforts, identify key factors that contributed to the achievement (Pluses), and discuss areas for growth (Deltas) to sustain momentum.


Key topics on the agenda include:


  • Reviewing the Safety Plan and Buddy System, emphasizing unity by wearing powder blue in solidarity.
  • Logistics for future events, including carpools, parking, and arriving early to secure seating in Room 1A.
  • Updates on the Positive Community Values Campaign, highlighting possible improvements to Kern County Schools.
  • Strengthening and emphasizing the Public School Strong initiative.
  • Promoting the PSS Self-Directed Orientation, which is live now, or encouraging participation in the next live orientation session on Tuesday, February 11, at 3:30 PM.


The meeting serves as a moment to celebrate, reflect, and strategize for continued success in advocating for safe and inclusive public schools. Members are encouraged to remain engaged and committed to the coalition's mission as we move forward together.
