Book Swap and Teach Truth Pop-Up Display at Casa Arte

Somos Arte Chicago is hosting a book swap and interactive Teach Truth pop-up display at Casa Arte as part of the Zinn Education Project’s 5th Annual Teach Truth Day of Action 

The event hosts note: "The site location will be at Casa Arte, the home of our organization, Somos Arte Chicago. Our location is located in Humboldt Park, an area of Chicago that is under heavy gentrification. Many elders in our community are excited when we tell them we are located in the build where "North West Hall" was located, as this was a significant space for Puerto Rican youth in the past. We are located down the street from Clemente High School, a neighborhood school that serves our predominantly Puerto Rican community. Somos Arte also has partnership with many local schools including Sabin Elementary, Diego Elementary, and Erie Charter School."
