Banned Books Week

Banned Together Book Fest is a one-day community book festival celebrating the freedom to read and amplifying queer, BIPOC, disabled, and other historically marginalized voices in literature. Taking place on October 10, 2026, in downtown Ferndale, Michigan, the festival will feature bestselling and independent authors, engaging panel discussions, book signings, local booksellers and vendors, educational programming, and advocacy organizations. Our goal is to bring readers, writers, educators, librarians, and community members together to celebrate diverse stories, foster meaningful conversations, and stand against censorship through the power of books.
