Refuse to comply: Defend our Students

    We all want our children to learn in environments where respect and belonging are valued and where they get the skills they need to succeed in life. Trump’s Department of Education, meanwhile, threatened our nation’s students with a new mandate: certify that their schools do not “promote diversity, equity, and inclusion” or lose all federal funding. We cannot not let them hold our student’s future hostage for an extremist political agenda.

    Fortunately, with the deadline to respond approaching on April 24th, several states have already refused to comply, while others have yet to comment or are in the process of reviewing.

    We have a small but critical window to push back and show the Trump Administration that the majority of Americans want kids to learn the skills they need to be successful. We will not be bullied and threatened into sabotaging our kids’ future.
