Defend Our Students: Stop the to Public Ed!

We the people of [school district] are calling on our Senators and Congress Members to pass a federal budget that makes zero cuts to public education.

Why is this important?

Congress is considering a proposal to cut $7.3 billion from public education in the 2027 budget, including a threat to eliminate Title 1 funds for low-income families.

These cuts are the equivalent 157,000 first-year teachers, 293,000 computer labs 73,000 afterschool programs, or 146,000 school arts programs.

These cuts would threaten crucial resources for all students, and especially students with disabilities and those from low-income communities.

These are cuts our students cannot afford. We call on our federal legislators to take immediate and proactive steps to safeguard the rights, safety, and educational opportunities of all students, by supporting a budget and legislation that affirms and funds access to high-quality public education for every child in our state.
