Banned Together Film & More at Topeka & Shawnee Library

Capital Uniserv Educators of the Kansas National Education Association (KNEA) will host a film screening of Banned Together, a people's history mini-lesson, and an interactive Teach Truth pop-up display at Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.

Banned Together follows three students and their adult allies as they fight to reinstate 97 books pulled from their school libraries. As they evolve from local to national activists -- meeting with bestselling/banned authors, politicians, Constitutional experts, and more -- the film reveals the forces behind the accelerating wave of book bans in the United States.

This event is a part of the Zinn Education Project’s 5th Annual Teach Truth Day of Action
